Hello helpers community!

I have a dream *g*

I'd like to create a chart on a slide, group all object and save this as an eps-file.

OR

Export that slide as an Encapsulated PostScript.

Is there any way to get a slide oot of PowerPoint 2008 as an eps - file?

Plz let me know your ideas!
Thanks a lot. Bye, Maccle

Not likely - No version of Office [Mac or PC] includes a PostScript
interpreter. Even though you can insert EPS images they don't display unless
they have TIFF or WMF thumbnails/previews as a part of their content. You'll
need to output the content in another graphic format, open it in a
PS-compatible app (such as Photoshop), then output as EPS from there.

SortaYes/SortaNo

PC Office since oh, about 2001 has included a kind of interpreter that creates
display images of EPS images if they don't already have one it likes.

Or PICT on Mac.

None of which said:

A couple of related options:

Print each slide to a PS file, open that in Photoshop or Illustrator.
Not guaranteed to work, but it stands a pretty good chance.

Print to PS then use the free GhostScript (available for Windows or Mac) to
convert to EPS. It's been a while since I did this but I'm pretty sure it'd
work.

Acrobat (the full thing, not Reader) can export EPS, last I checked. Make PDF
from PowerPoint, open in Acrobat, export EPS.

Hello you all! Thanks a lot.

What I'm doing now is:
printing the slide as PS-file
than open that file with GIMP
afterwards I can export it as EPS-file

I think, that works for me...

As I understand it, there is no PICT support at all.

Hm.. If I stumble across a (small) EPS with a PICT preview, I'll send it
along to ya to try out.

The Win versions since 2002 or so have a look at the preview and, if they
don't like it, interpret the PS portion, rasterize it to create their own
preview.

I probably have some teeny previewless EPS files floating around. I'll shoot
you one to try out.
