Section width greater than page

I have several reports which look fine on my set up, but when tested by a
colleague on another machine they get blank pages and the error message about
the section width greater than the page width.

Is this something to do with printer setups?

Many thanks

Check the Page Setup on the other machine. The margins are probably
set differently than yours.

Surely the margins are an attribute of the report, not the machine???

They seem to be an attribute of the installation of Access on our machines.
In any case, it couldn't hurt to check them.

They are an attribute of the report providing that they do not exceed the
minimum values supported by the printer driver. If the printer driver only
supports a margin of 1/2 an inch and your report has a saved margin of 1/25
inch then the printer driver's minimum setting is what gets used.

Thanks Rick, I thought it must be something like that - the margins were set
at 20mm (about 0.8") though - but perhaps that was too close?

The reports that I have written are going to be used on a number of varied
(and unkown to me) machines - for training / testing purposes.

I have now significantly decreased the width of the reports - but I also
decreased the margins, perhaps that was a mistake?? Hopefully this won't
cause problems...
