Do you have a "genuine" Office 2007 CD and is
the CD clean of any smudges or fingerprints?

Is your hard drive split into a C & DD drive partition? If so, make
sure the security on the C drive gives all users full write rights. I
was having the same probem & by temporarily adjusting the security
settings on the C drive, I was able to install the software.

Make sure Microsoft Works has been setup as this may be leading to your problem.

Good Day J,

I am having the same problem that you helped solve a while back while loading Office 2007. Your remedy appears straight forward, but I do not know how to temporary adjust the security settings on the C Drive. Could I please get some assistance on this.

Thanks,

David
