Shared resource pool not working?! help please!

I’ve created a shared resource pool for an integrated programme level plan,
but when I enter the resource on the gantt chart view it’s just adding
another resource on the resource sheet, it isn’t taking what I’ve written as
the resource in the resource pool, even though they are exactly the same.

Why is it doing this? Because I don’t see the point in having a shared
resource pool if this is the case??

Hi Elle,

Welcome to this Microsoft Project newsgroup

You need to share the resources with the pool via Tools/Resource
sharing/Share resources... and select the pool. When you've done this for
every project, create a new master file and import each project. The
