Shared Workbook Crashes

Brandon

Hi there,

I work in a Advertising Operations department of 12 and we all need access
to view/update the same document daily. It is our matrix to our daily
function. Therefore, we have used the shared functionality in excel so we
all can access it and make changes/view etc.. and have used for over a year
now. However, several times throughout the month one or two people come
across errors and the document crashes and then nobody is able to use it and
we have to re-save as new and then send out the link to the group for the new
version. Sometimes we have up to 3 or 4 versions/crashes. We have
identified that sometimes the error is caused when saving but not unfiltering
or unhiding columns as that sometimes can make excel work harder than normal.
Note our documents are really heavy and are 13MB with about 7 tabs each
having a minimum of 10,000 rows. If there is any help you can offer to make
the document more stable so we are able to use and not crash so often I would
be SO appreciative. Some people have suggested using Access but myself and
nobody on the dept knows how to use access.

Thank you,
