Sharing OL2002 contacts w/ OE

Chris Barnes

I put in the registry hack mentioned in
http://www.slipstick.com/contacts/oeshare.htm, but it doesn't seem to
work quite right.

If I open WAB directly (ie. from the command line), I see the contacts
list just fine.

However, if I open the addressbook from within OE, I see the old
addressbook (ie. sans the OL contacts - no sharing).

Computer is new, WinXP w/ all updates, OfficeXP also with all updates.

What am I missing?

I found my own answer. The slipstick instructions say to put the
registry hack into HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\WAB\WAB4. This
seems correct for OL2000.

However, to get it to work in OL2002, I had to put it into
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\WAB\WAB4
