Slide Transitions in PowerPoint

I created many Presentations in PowerPoint 2001 in Classic
Mode ( 9.2) When I tried to run the same Presentations in
PowerPoint X, I find that the Slide transitions seem to be
in slow motion. I have the transitions on Fast Mode. but
they seem to be in slow motion. They worked fine in Classic
Mode
I then created a new presentation in X, but it did not make
a difference. Why are the slide transitions so slow? What
setting can a I fix to correct this. I would like to use
System X but am being held back because of this.
I am a Math Teacher and have every lesson on PowerPoint and
use it every day. But I have to remain in System in 9.2
until I clear up this problem.
Any help out there?

Hi Robert,

What processor and speed are you using for OSX?

Did you try it in Panther?

Have you installed the Office X updates?

Jim: I am using Power PC G4 at 666 MHz. I ahve not
installed any updates to Office, although I will do it if
it will work. I have the orginal version of X that came
with the computer that I bought last year. I should mention
that it is a PowerBook G4. Does that male a difference?
The only thing that is slow is the slide transitions. Any
other animations are fine. If you think that upgarding
everything is the answer, then I will do it.

Thanks Bob Kiessling

Hi

Yes, at a minimum install the 10.1.2 update from Microsoft's web site. After
you install the update run Disk Utility First Aid to repair permissions.
