Slow opening new document in MSWord 2007

Hi,

We have a Windows 2008 file server and I'm running Word 2007 with the latest
SP on my Vista. I've created a shared drive on this server and here is the
problem: everytime I double click on an Word file, it takes 20 seconds for
the file to come up. With the first file open, opening the second or third
word file is pretty instant. I've disconnected all network drives and
deleted all the printers. I didn't have trouble opening PDF files, they
open instantly. Interestingly, opening word files in MSWord 2003 is pretty
instant and no delay. Do you have any suggestions.
