Spell checker doesn't check spelling of signature

Arjwilson

Hi - I create signatures that contain small messages and the insert them into
the body of emails. I have my spell checker set to check all outgoing emails,
but for some reason it ignores the signatures. I often edit, or change the
content of the signatures after I've inserted them into the email, but spell
checkers ignores all the text in the signature. Can this be changed? I need
spell checker to check the text in the signature.

Don't abuse the signature feature for this but use the feature designed for
it; AutoText (Office 2003 and previous) or Quick Parts (Office 2007).

the style used for signatures is set to not spell check. You should use
quick parts or autotext if you need to edit the text in the sig. (Or create
multiple signatures.)
