Split form cancel in before update event

Just wondered if anyone else has experienced a problem trying to cancel a
controls before update event on a split form, I've looked but can't find
mention of a problem.

I get 'Property not found' error after the 'Cancel = True' (debugging passes
the line fine and exits the sub, and then the error message appears).

Also, the error doesn't occur for the same field in the non-split part of
the form.

Even without any other code in the event other than Cancel = True it still
gives the error.
