stdole2.tbl is missing

Tanya

I have a user that receives this message whenever she opens excel:

One of your object libraries (stdole2.tbl) is missing or damaged. Please
run Setup to install it.

I did reinstall it but did not work. I can open excel with no problem - I
am a local admin of the machine. Any ideas?

Try the following. Close Excel, then go to the Windows Start menu
and choose Run. There, enter

Excel.exe /regserver

and click OK.

Hi,

stdole2.tlb is an operating system file. The file should be in folder
<C:/windows/system32>. You can also find a copy of this file in
<system32>/dllcache, from which you could grab it. In case the file is not
in either of the previous locations, make sure to run your latest service
pack.

Hope this helps,
