Submit Button on Form returns a blank page

Tammi

Hi,

I created a new form today and when I click on the Submit button, it returns
a blank page. I have the Remote Web Server Type set to FrontPage or
SharePoint Services. I originally tried using the default confirmation page
and that didn't work. Then I created my own custom confirmation page that
didn't work either. I have another web site where the default confirmation
page comes up just fine. I store the results to _private/contact.csv which
is empty after trying to submit several time. My confirm results page is
set to _private/confirm.htm.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!!

Remove the confirm.htm page from the _private folder.

I moved the confirm.htm from the _private folder to my main web site folder,
it still doesn't work. Any other ideas? I even tried creating a new web
site with a form and just using the default confirmation page and that
didn't work either.

Are you test the form on a web server that has the FP extensions, and was either created or
published to the server via http? Also if you have the form set to also send an email the FP
extensions must be configured to send email.

I have it posted to localhost that has FP extensions and am publishing to
the server through FrontPage. I do not have it configured to send email.

1. Have configured the extensions for the web site via the IIS MMC?

2. Are you creating the form with the web open in FP via http://localhost?

I am not creating the form with the web open in FP via http://localhost.
I'm not sure if I have configured the server extensions for the web site via
the IIS MMS.
Since it worked on one web site, I assumed it would work on another.
How do I go about checking to see if that web site is configured for
extensions?
Also, if it is not, how do I configure it?

Thanks!!

In FP use File Menu | Open Web / Site and enter http://localhost if you get in, then the extensions
are installed and configured correctly.

If not then you need go to Control Panel | Admin Tools | IIS MMC.

I got into http://localhost/ without any problems, so the extensions are
installed and configured correctly.

Now when I go to submit my form, I am getting a page that says "This page
cannot be displayed".

What am I doing wrong?

I still see the confirm.htm in the _private folder on the remote site.
Should I delete it from there also?

In the FP site in FP move it out of the _private folder and set your form properties to use the new file location
- if working in local host open the FP site using File Open Site http://localhost/
