SVG file is not rendered in VISIO properly

Hi,
I have a SVG file thats created by a third party software and when i try to
import it into VISIO, it is giving me a lot of warnings, and finally the
rendered image is not quite the same as the original. Other SVG viewers are
rendering this filecorrectly. Are there any known compatability issues with
VISIO and SVG formats? I am using VISIO 2003 and i even tried with 2007 and
the issues are the same.

I tried correcting few of the warnings, but this warning appears several
times.

[Warning] DataType:
Context: <VisioDocument><Masters><Master ID='153'
Name='sato2db.clipPath46437'> Sheet.5!LocPinX
Description: Visio could not assign the specified formula to the cell and
has substituted an alternate formula.
Old formula: Width*1.#INF
New formula: 0

Old formula is different each time.

Any help is deeply appreciated.

The fact that a LocPinX formula is being changed from something to zero
will definitely locate things on the page differently. What is the third
party software used to create the SVG files?

Chris Roth posted a bit on SVG with Visio on his "VisGuy" blog a while ago
: http://www.visguy.com/2006/09/29/skewing-around-with-visio-svg/
There is a link in his post to an older publication around the first
release of SVG with Visio 2003. There are definitely differences, and I
believe our SVG support remains at 1.0 in Visio 2007, as it was in Visio
2003. So if you're third party app is creating a higher level, there may
be additions we don't support, as well as the items Chris notes in his post.

I, too. am having problems with imported SVG files in Visio 2003 SP2/SP3.
Certain elements are consistently rendered incorrectly; the file is unusable
in Visio, but definitely repeatable.

The SVG header says it is using SVG 1.0.

It renders correctly in Adobe SVG Viewer 3.0 in MSIE6.

The source .SVG file is generated by FreeMind 0.9.0 beta 17
(http://freemind.sourceforge.net). Interesting to note that FreeMind uses
Batik to convert FreeMind to SVG, then SVG to PDF. PDF files from Batik are
rendered correctly, too.

FreeMind is open-source (GPL V2), so you can download the software and some
sample mind maps to export to SVG to reproduce the result.
