Sync erros after upgrading anti-virus

We recently upgraded our Trend Micro AV. Ever since, our users have been
receiving sync errors in their 'Sync Issues'. We have a mix of Outlook
2K3/2K7 connecting to Exchange 2K3.
I tried disabling all the AV services on the client to see if it resolved
the sync issues, but it didn't

Here's an example of the sync log

9:14:12 Synchronizer Version 12.0.6504
9:14:12 Synchronizing Mailbox 'User Name'
9:14:12 Synchronizing Hierarchy
9:14:12 Synchronizing local changes in folder 'Calendar'
9:14:12 Uploading to server 'server.company.local'
9:14:12 1 view(s)/form(s) updated in online folder
9:14:12 Synchronizing local changes in folder 'Inbox'
9:14:12 Uploading to server 'server.company.local'
9:14:12 1 view(s)/form(s) updated in online folder
9:14:12 Synchronizing server changes in folder 'Spam Folder'
9:14:12 Downloading from server 'server.company.local'
9:14:12 Synchronizing server changes in folder 'Approved Sender List'

9:14:13 1 view(s)/form(s) updated in online folder
9:14:13 Done
9:14:13 Microsoft Exchange offline address book

Here's part of the report from running scanost on a system with 2K7 Outlook.

I ran the scanost on a system running 2K3 that was getting the sync errors
as well, but it only showed the 'Hidden Images' line.

What does this number represent?.....80004005-501-4B9-560

Thanks in advance

Forgot to ask.

What is this 'hidden message' subject it lists.

In many cases, it is necessary to uninstall the AV program completely and
reinstall it without the mail scanning feature to really disable it.

Were I seeing this, I'd also delete the OST with Outlook closed and allow it
to be recreated.
