Sync Services check box won't stay checked

Version: 2008 Operating System: Mac OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard) Processor: Intel Email Client: Exchange I have Entourage set to sync with iCal under Preferences/Sync Services. Everything works fine, but everyone once in a while I notice that it has stopped syncing, and when I check the preferences the "Synchronize Events and Tasks..." check box has been mysteriously unchecked. I check it and it starts working again. Any ideas why this might be? Is it something I'm doing?

Thanks

It could be a corrupted preference file. You might consider setting it
aside to let Entourage recreate it(you won’t lose your account settings
or rules: they’re in the Identity itself).

Thanks. I'll give that a try. Unfortunately there's no way to know immediately whether it worked, because the problem is intermittent.

I have noticed this happening when I run Cocktail, a utiiity program that
cleans up the system (maybe Onyx or other similar utilities will do the
same), Entourage reset the sync services; you have to turn them ON again.

Yeah, What Entourage does through this preference is that it tells the
System it wants to sync with it (it registers as a SyncService
provider).
Cocktail might reset that and deregister the application as it performs
its cleanup.
