Syncing password protected tabs with OneNote Mobile

Hi,

In OneNote 2007 is it possible to sync password protected tabs to OneNote
Mobile? I thought I had this working but my phone was damaged and replaced.
I can now get the Sync working fine without a password. As soon as I add a
password on my desktop my mobile phone syncs a non password protected copy
back to my desktop machine. It then continues to Sync with the non-password
protected copy.

Can OneNote Mobile 2007 sync with a password protected OneNote 2007 tab? It
it can, how is it set up?

Short answer - no.

You only can sync the specifically-created "OneNote Mobile" notebook to a
WM device. You cannot take a specific section from another notebook
(whether or not it is password-protected) and have it synced.

Had you tried to add a password to the "OneNote Mobile" section?

Sorry, yes, it is the "OneNote Mobile" section. I have it working without a
password. As soon as I put a password on the section though the mobile
device sets up a new, un-password protected set of data back to my laptop.
It stops syncing the password protected tab and then syncs the new
non-password protected tab that it sets up.

I realize that the mobile version won't be encrypted password protected.
I've turned on the password for my mobile device, so that would protect the
data, at least to a certain degree. However, I would still like for the
password protected page on the desktop to sync to the mobile device (non pw
protected on the mobile device).

Hi, I am struggling with the same issue. I would like some of my OneNote
Mobile pages on my mobile device to be password protected. When I set a
password on the relevant section in my OneNote Mobile notebook on my laptop,
ActiveSync 4.5 alerts with a Synchronisation Error for OneNote Mobile,
however there are no notes with the error and no apparent way to fix it. The
OneNote pages on my mobile device remain un-protected.

I am running OneNote 2007 on Windows XP laptop and Windows Mobile 6 on a
Motorola Q9H device.

Any help would be appreciated.

Regards

Gary
