table sort including all columns

Version: 2008 Operating System: Mac OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard) Processor: Intel How do I include all columns in my table to be included in a sort?

A Word table sort can't work any other way.

But you only get to nominate three columns as sort criteria.

If you want to sort by the values of all columns, you need to produce dummy
columns that concatenate the contents into three columns. You can remove
the dummies after the sort.

You lost me on why I need to link three columns. I have two columns with text only and would like to sort them into alphabetical order.

Well, that's why John gave the answer he did -- you didn't say how many
columns you have in the table & your wording suggested that there were more
than three... Certainly more than two :)

Click in the table then go to Table> Sort. If you have any problems from
there let us know -- but please give accurate & complete details.
