Task Updates are Different for Project Owner vs Status Manager

We have a project plan that the owner and the status manager are seeing
different numbers of task updates (after clearing cache). The question is
why would they see different counts and also what is the best way to clear
this - should the status manager accept the updates?

Please advise.

Hi MK,
this could have a couple of reasons. The first thing I would do is go to
tools > local Cache> chache settings. Copy the Folder location, then close MS
Project. Open the windows explorer, paste the copied folder location into the
address bar. Delete all folders underneath. Do this with both Desktops of
your managers. Let them reopen the projcet and check again.
Somethimes by just clearing the cache in MS Project will actually not clear
all of it. This way you can be insured that all cache is cleared.
