Thank you A. Kallal...Database split

M

Matt K.

I have been developing a database/interface now for the past two months. As
this is to be used in a multi-user environment, I knew at some point I would
have to split my database. Two months ago, I knew nothing about creating
databases. Needless to say, I have been apprehensive and intimidated by the
whole split process. I am now ready (I believe) to do this.
I wanted to say THANK YOU to Albert Kallal for posting his explanation of
the process AND how to work with/update/modify the database once it is split.
His post here:
http://www.members.shaw.ca/AlbertKallal/Articles/split/index.htm
is great. Thanks again for taking the time to post this for everyone and
also for helping me out along the way to this point.
I wanted to point out Albert's page since it helped with my understanding of
this split process and thought if anyone else is struggling like I was to
CHECK IT OUT.

Thanks also to all the MVPs who unselfishly take time out of their day to
answer our questions!!

Thank you very kindly for your comments.

I should note that there is a GOOD many articles and web sites that point
out you need to split you database.

However, in that article, I also tried to explain "why" you split...not just
"tell" you to split...

Once again, thank you..and I wish you all the best in the coming new year..

Sincerely,
