The usual "no default mail client" error message - please help

G

Geppetto

I have the usual problem:

"Either there is no default mail client or the current mail client cannot
fulfill the messaging request. Please run Microsoft Outlook and set it as the
default mail client."

Outlook was set as the default, both in Outlook, and Explorer. I also tried
to "delete the registry key", then used the "detect and repair" through
Outlook. After it asked for my Office 2003 Basic disc, it runs then pops up
the error 1311, file not found.

What gives?

I am using XP svc pack 3, running Office 2003 Basic using Outlook 2003.

I do not have a problem sending/receiving email, but it has been a thorn in
my side not being able to send a link or page by email other than cut/paste
into the message.

Can you help?

Hi Geppetto,

Have you tried Set Program Access & Defaults?
