TimeSheet Manager

Hi All,

i'm still curious with timesheet manager. i'm using PS 2007

My company want functional managers responsible as timesheet manager for
their resources. Even that functional manager also assign to project as team
member, they still responsible as timesheet manager for their resources.
So In resource center, i set team members timesheet manager to their
functional manager.
member A to Support Manager
member B to Development Manager
member C to Operation Manager
etc
can i do this?

cause when i tried this, there were error "Next approver cannot be either
owner or previous approver".
Person who can approve timesheet is resource that i set in first time who
can approve timesheet...

is there something that i miss....

This is most like an error due to permission issues. You need to make sure
that the resources that are set as Timesheet Approvers have the "Approve
Timesheet" category permission on the resources which they are timesheet
managers of. So obviously you need to make sure the categories include the
correct resources.

Yes, i already do that...
even functional manager who join as team member...i select allow to "Approve
Timesheet" and "Accept TimeSheet".
But when he/she want to approve there were error "Next approver cannot be
either
owner or previous approver".
