Timesheet Submission - Approval not checked for vacation time.

Hi,

In the current configuration, Vacation time does not require approval.
However, when a user puts time against vacation (indicating they were on
vacation certain days), the status changes to Yellow and it says the item is
pending approval. When they save and submit it returns error. Following is
the error in the queue: Timesheet cannot be submitted because some of the
admin time lines are pending approval.
TimesheetPendingLines
Any idea how to resolve this?

Thank you for your help!

This is the error that users see when Vacation time must be approved. Are
you absolutely certain that the Vacation category DOES NOT require approval?
Ask your Project Server administrator to navigate to Server Settings -
Administrative Time. Is the Approve category set to No for Vacation? Also,
did you change the Approve value recently, perhaps after a team member
already created a Timesheet for the current period? If so (just speculating
here), you might need to ask the team member to delete the Timesheet,
recreate it, and then re-enter progress and the vacation. Hope this helps.

Dale,

Thank you for the sugesstion. It cleared the error. However, I was
wondering if there is a way that Administrator can approve this in bulk. I
have several users with similar problem. So going back to each and every
user could be a bit difficult.

Thanks,
Ankit

I can't answer your latest question unless I know how you cleared the error.
Please say more...

Dale,

Like you suspected, we had changed the setting for Vacation approval from
Required to Not Required. I had to go back to the user, delete her timesheet
and then resubmit it.

Thanks,
Ankit
