Version: 2008 Operating System: Mac OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard) When I open up a word document which is for example an invoice I created say 2 years ago (2nd June 2007 for example) Todays date automatically replaces this date. How do I stop this happening? Thanks very much!!

Hi,

open the document, select the date, then click Insert>Date and Time and in
the dialogue that opens, uncheck the box that is labelled "update
automatically".

Hi Joey:

An alternative to Michel's suggestion is to use the field "PRINTDATE"
instead of DATE.

DATE always shows the date the document was opened: PRINTDATE updates only
if you print the document. You could also use SAVEDATE, or CREATEDATE. But
SAVEDATE is likely to update each time you open the document also.
CREATEDATE will "never" update, but it is copied each time you copy the file
:)

Cheers
