Total certain records

One more question and I think I will have my report ( and my first project in
Access ) nearly completed. This is in the same report I had just previously
asked about, its full form is

Customer Product Lbs purch $ purch cost info.....
Acme 1AA $/lb info
from here on
Acme 1BB
subtotals
Acme 2AA
Acme 2BB
subtotals
totals
returns
variances
net(totals less returns +/- variances)
We have several plants and hundreds of customers and products, the first
letter of the product stands for the plant it came from. I have 3 tables
with sales and cost info, one with return info and a third with variance info
by plant. I need to spread the variance to each customer based on the lbs of
product they bought from each plant. Something along the line of ((Plt1
Var/Plt1 lbs sold total*lbs Acme bought from plant 1)+(Plt2 Var/Plt2 lbs sold
total*lbs Acme bought from plant 2))/total lbs acme bought.
I have at the bottom of the report inserted text boxes and put in
calculations that give me the total lbs sold by plant. I have a querie that
imports all sales, return and variance info.
I have all the pieces, I'm just having trouble getting them together in
access. I had thought about adding a field to the querie to show total
production for the plant each product came out of then I could have: Lbs
sold this record/Lbs sold for plant total*variance then I would need to add
that up for each customer and divid by their total lbs bought but I never
could get that into the querie successfully.

Ok, I finally got it I think, it was just a matter of getting the right
queries done and linked in the right way.
