Track changes - time & date stamp

Version: 2008 Operating System: Mac OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard) Processor: Intel As I add new edits to a document with track changes turned on, the previous balloons of changes all have their older dates (and times) changed to the current date and time...? Is this a bug or a preference? I have looked on the preferences and cannot find such an option. Thanks for your help!

I would say that's a corrupt document.

In Word>Preferences>Security check the setting of "Remove personal
information from this file on save". If that's turned on, I think it takes
the date off the tracked changes.

I would never edit a document for more than one or two sessions with tracked
changes turned on. It is likely to corrupt the document, and you lose the
whole document if that happens.

Cheers
