Trial version files unable to open

John

I was working in the Microsoft Project trial version without a project server
and saved my samples as .mpp files. When I went back to work on them again a
few days later I was unable to open them. In fact I could not even get the MS
Project program to open. The message I got was saying it could not access my
Project Server even though I never set one up. HELP! I know the trial version
has not expired, as it's only been two weeks since I set it up. Help!

-- Julie,

If you mean when I initially downloaded the trial version, yes I did
activate it. In fact I was able to go back into the sample schedules I had
saved and work in them about a week after I started them.
Now a second week later I tried to go back into the files/schedules I had
created but ran into the Error message I mentioned below.

Hi John,

Somehow it seems to have gotten the idea that you are working with
Project Server. Try the following -- with Project closed --
Start Menu > All Programs > Microsoft Office > Microsoft Office
Tools > Microsoft Office Project Server Accounts.

You should only see an entry for "My Computer." Remove any other
entries.

Now can you start Project without the error message?
