OK looks like I may have found the problem. Posted here in case anyone else
suffers from the same issue. I am currently staying at my in-laws' house and
accessing through their wireless router (BT 2wire Wireless Network 1250) and
their BT Broadband connection. At home I access internet through a Tiscali
broadband connection using a 3Com wireless router. I enabled logging as
suggested in a previous reply (OPMLog.log contents posted below). Bottom
line is my ISP (Tiscali) won't accept me sending email through BT Broadband
connection.
