ungroup clip art picture in Word

When I select the picture I want to ungroup and click "draw" on the toolbar,
the 'group, ungroup' choices are greyed out. How do I ungroup a clipart
picture and then regroup it again?

Chances are that the picture pieces aren't grouped at present.

Right-click the picture and click Edit Picture.

You should now be able to Ctrl+Click to select pieces--when two or more are
selected, the Group command will become ungrayed.
