Unwanted line across top of pages; how to delete?

Hi, I have a document in which the last few pages have a line across the top of the page that I can't delete.

I've looked at borders and that doesn't seem to be the issue. I've also deleted the line separator for endnotes but that isn't solving the issue either.

Here's a screenshot in formatting view (in regular view the line doesn't have the grey border):

Any ideas as to what this is and how to make it go away?
