Update tasks externally??

I am trying to updated a task externally in 2007 and in 2003 all i had to do
was set the project_ext_edited to 1 and set the EXT_EDIT_REF_DATA on the task
= to 1. Well in 2007 EXT_EDIT_REF_DATA is gone. What flag do i have to set
to make my update work?

Hi,

How are you updating externally? You shouldn't be editing the database
directly in 2007 but using the PSI and the Project or Statusing web service
depending on the change you are making. See the SDK at

Well i need to make actual cost timephased and i am not able to use VBA and i
also noticed that you can make actual cost timephased using the PSI. I was
able to do this in 2003 by making direct database table updates. Is there a
way i can do this in 2007, or do you have any suggestions for me in
completing this task of making actual cost timephased.

in my second message i meant to say i saw that you CANNOT make actual cost
timephased using the PSI.
