Upgrade from standard Office v.X to PRO edition with VPC?

Does anyone know if this is possible? Haven't found this specific topic in
any of the MS Mactopia documentation. I would like to add VPC to my Office
suite, but it looks as if I will just need to purchase a stand-alone copy.

Any thoughts to the contrary?
