I have an .xls file that was sent to me from a customer
who uses Double-Byte character sets.
I have since taken this file and added information into -
such as Vlookups to other spreadsheets and pivot tables.
What has happened over time is that this file has gotten
slower and slower such that it is literally crawling speed-
wise when I refresh the data.
The file isn't overly large (compared to other ones that I
use) - it is about 10 meg.
My questions are three:
1) What could be causing this?
2) Are there diagnostic tools to assess what's up with
an .xls file that I could use?
3) Are there any suggested remedies?
Thanks,
