Using Outlook Connector

Is there a way to use the Outlook Connector to sync my windows live contacts
into the normal data file? I don't want to open my contacts list and see two
lists: "Outlook" and "(e-mail address removed)". I want to be able to use software to sync
contacts between my mobile devices, but they automatically go for the
default outlook data file, and ignore my other contacts in windows live.

I'm using Office 2010 beta

Try making the Live data file the default on the Data Files tab o
Account Settings

Hmm.. doesn't seem to work, thanks anyhow.

Is there a way to properly "sync" data back and forth between windows live?
I'm mainly interested in calendars and contacts. I don't want to have a
connector program that acts like an interface to connect to my live account,
I want it to connect and "download" the info and save it in my normal data
files, and sync back and forth.

No, The connector creates its own data file and only syncs with that. If you
set the live account and its data file as default, its calendar and contacts
will be your default (and you could remove the local pst, if live is your
only account).
