Using Visio with Remote Desktop Connection

We are debating about purchasing Visio and downloaded the trial version of
Visio Professional. We are a small company and are planning to load the
software on a server that everyone will be able to use instead of loading it
on one person's PC. One of our employees tested to see if he could access
Visio Professional by logging onto the server thru Remote Desktop Connection
and it worked. We are wondering if anyone knows if this is any reason why
this would not work with Visio Standard as well.

Visio Standard and Professional use the same executables and components,
the difference is in the Templates and Stencils. For example, you don't get
the Database Model Diagram in standard. So there's no reason why Visio
Standard 2007 wouldn't work on a Terminal Server.

You should be aware that if you don't have Terminal Services running on a
Windows Server OS you won't be able to have multiple users running Visio.
Terminal Servics requires licensing. Also, a retail license of Office 2007
products, which includes Visio 2007, won't run on a Terminal Server. You
would need volume licensing and a license for each user. The only other
option I could think of is SoftGrid but I'm not sure if that would work for
you.
