Right. I am very new to this whole thing but I have a basic understanding of
Access and almost completely no knowledge of VBA Coding.
The problem, other than the obvious lack of knowledge, is that I have
managed to create a sales form, with a subform. There is a sales ID and a
date (automatically filled in) in the main form and in the subform; a
transactions ID, Stock ID, Price (filled in on selection of stock item) and
various calculations prepared for totals.
However, when it comes to filling out the record and entering data a
transaction ID is not created, as obviously it needs the record to be
completed to do so before I can create a new transaction record.
I just need to be able to tell the transaction ID box to create a value,
save the record, so I can complete the record, save again and then I can move
onto the next record.
I understand this is a bad and not very thorough explanation so my apologies.
Thanks ahead for any advice.
