Video not available, cannot find

When I try to insert a particular AVI file into my Power Point 2003 slide the
top of the slide displays "Video not available, cannot find ‘vids:dvsd’
decompressor." I can play the file outside of Power Point and have verified
that the correct codec is installed. I have also tried messing with the
video acceleration and colors to no avail.

Anu suggestions?

Regards,

Steve

Thanks for your reply, Austin. Since my posting, I downloaded and installed
Media Player 11 (was running 10) and had the same result. I have tried to
run this AVI file on three different systems all running Windows XP Pro SP2
with the same results.

Then I suspect its an issue with the avi files. Have you read this
tutorial?
