Virtual PC 6.1 Update

Michael Losee

I am also experiencing this problem. I can enter my name,
organization, and serial # for VP6, but the button to advance to the
next screen is greyed out and never becomes active. I have copied and
pasted from a backup source, even typing it in manually, but nothing.
Please help.

During my update, I only had to accept the license agreement. I didn't have
to re-enter my serial number.

Are you trying to update 6.02 (the latest version before 6.1) or something
earlier?

Nope, it is definately a copy of the VPC 6.1 downloaded from Microsoft
itself about 2 hours ago. Funny thing is, If I cancel out of the
registration process, VPC executes and Win 2000 boots normally. I guess I
just need to finish the installation process to get rid of the registration
nag screen.

I, too, only had to accept the license. I was updating from 6.0.1.xxxx.
