Visio 2007 - Legend shape issues

G

Glenn Allan

1. Some shapes, for example HP Shapes from Visio Cafe, do not appear in the
legend. I found an article that says to just drop them on the legend shape
to make them appear but this also doesn't work
2. Can you edit the label that an edited master shows in the legend. To get
around the above problem I want to copy the "PC" shape and give it actual
desktop model names "HP Dx7200". When I do this and drop it into the page
with the legend shape on it the shape still comes up as "PC", I can't see
anywhere in the properties of the shape where I can change this.
3. Is there anyway of making a legend shape monitor across several pages in
the same drawing. I would like a legend for each floor of our building and
remote offices and then to have a legend on a summary page that either totals
other legends in the drawing pages, or just counts all shapes in the drawing.

Hi Glenn,

You may want to also post this in the MS Office Visio newsgroup, using the link below. When posting there mention the version of
Windows you're on and if this is the RTM (release) version of Visio 2007, or the Beta 2 or Beta 2 with Technical Refresh Update
patches.
