Visio 2007 Universal Connector Woes

I'm having lots of issues with the behavior of the Universal Connector, and I
finally realized they started when I upgraded to 2007.

When using the Universal Connector, it's now routing strangely. For
example, connecting to the top of a shape as if it were the side of a shape.
I can't even fix it using the yellow diamond to tell it where to route the
lines becuase, although the lines will route where I tell it to, the
arrowhead will still be at a 90' angle.

Has anyone else seen this issue? Does anyone have suggestions on what
setting might be causing it?

I have a brand new machine, so I installed Visio 2007 directly (not
upgrading from prior versions), but my diagrams were all originally created
in Visio 2003-or-so.

Thanks in advance,

Found the answer. Somehow the "Glue" setting was unchecked. If you're
having this issue (probably not restricted to 2007), check that the
Tools/Snap-and-Glue dialog has the "Snap" and "Glue" both checked in the
"Active" section.
