visio dimensioning

Using Visio in the Property Site plan section - when I drag an architectural
dimension line to the drawing - the lines appear but no dimensions.

Hi Les,

As I understand, you're not seeing any text/numbers?

What happens if you select the dimension line shape and press F2 (text edit
mode)? Do you see any text highlighted?

Thanks for the response. F2 does seem to allow editing of the text. However
I found my problem and hate to admit it. In the dimensions of the sheet the
text was so small I didn't see it. When I went down to 50% it was actually
there!!

Another problem cropped up. I put text in 3 of the shapes (in this case
rectangles to represent buildings) and they are great on screen. When printed
out they are a jumble of characters.

Just the text is jumbled or the whole drawing is jumbled? Sounds like a
printer driver or printer options problem. Postscript???

I tried on another printer and the text came out fine. You're right -
probably the driver or some setting on the other (more complex Konica)
printer. Thanks
