VLK Serial For Office 2007

Hello,

Our company has the Microsoft Certified Partner status, which gives us a
certain number of Office 2007 licenses for internal use. I would like to use
a VLK serial for the Office installs, so that activation is no longer
neccesary. There are two places where I could find such a serial:

- in the Certified Partner benefits section that provides a set of Volume
License Keys; I've tried the serial from there, but after installation
activation is still required - so this does not work.

- in the MSDN subscribers Product Keys section (here there are both VLK and
Retail serials); I've tried the VLK from here and it worked perfectly. There
is a note, though, in the Product Keys section next to the VLK serial that
says: "Use this key for installing and using Office 2007 applications within
a Terminal Services environment."

My question is this: am I allowed to use this serial for my Office internal
use installs (which are on different machines), or is it mandatory to use it
exclusively "within a Terminal Services environment"?

Thanks

Microsoft has introduced a new product activation technology in Windows
Vista and Windows Server 2008. The new technology, Volume Activation
2.0, is designed to automate and manage the activation process while
addressing the piracy and product key management problems associated
with keys issued for Windows XP and Windows Server 2003.

Volume Activation 2.0 provides two types of keys:

Multiple Activation Key (MAK)
Key Management Service (KMS) key

You can use either or both types of key to activate your computers.

I am not sure if this is the case in your situation but it is a good
idea to give them a ring.

Hope this helps.

Microsoft has introduced a new product activation technology in Windows

I'm familar with the new licensing system, but it does not apply to Office
2007, which uses the old VL keys that bypass activation.

As I've mentioned, I have a valid and working VLK. The only question is
whether I am allowed to use it or not for my internal use installs,
considering the note "Use this key for installing and using Office 2007
applications within a Terminal Services environment."

I'm asking since I won't be using Terminal Services.

I have normal/retail keys as well, but I'd really like to avoid activation
since we change hardware and reinstall Windows quite often here.

Thanks.
