white corners left while printing coloured background

WHEN I PRINT COLOUR BACKGROUND IN A WORD DOCUMENT WHITE CORNERS ALWAYS REMAIN
ON THE TOP AND BOTTOM CORNERS OF THE FILE

version of Word? How did you create the background? The background image
should span the whole page?

This could either be a printer issue (unpritable area), or there could
really be "white" objects (textboxes etc.) in the corners (possibly
anchored to the header/footer area).
