Why does Word think I want French AutoCorrections?

I frequently get this error message:

"The list of common French(France) AutoCorrections is not available.
Thsi feature is not currently installed. Would you like to install it
now?"

I'm not sure action triggers this message, though I think it only
happens when I put the cursor in the cell of a table. I tried resetting
the default language, but that seems to have no effect.

Highlight the table and change default language for highlighted text to
English. Did you previously have some french text in the table?

Not that I recall. Anyway, I'll give this a try -- I hadn't hilited
anything when I changed the default lang. before.
