why won't my xml file print to a pdf

I've tried with CutePDF as well Scansoft PDF Create and instead of a pdf I
just get a copy sent to my printer. I only have the problem with Infopath.
I am using a custom program that produces my reports as Infopath .xml files.
Currently I'm using ver 2003.
