-> Win7: a good thing for Outlook 2007

S

Steve JORDI

Just switched form XP to Win7.

Always have been upset about Outlook 2007 sloooooow start.
About 1 minute to just start and then, if a message is in the
Inbox, another 2-3 minutes to have Word launched to render the
message. Even on clean Windows XP machines.

Now in Windows 7, I don't know what they did, but Outlook main
window starts in about 3-4 seconds, then if a message is in the
inbox and has to be rendered, it takes a max of another 5 seconds
only... So I'm up working in Outlook 2007 in usually 15 seconds only.

That makes Outlook 2007 VERY USABLE!!! What a change.

This is the same laptop, with the same soft installed, the same
services running, so no hardware or memory enhancement, just
looks much more optimized as an OS, at least for Outlook 2007.

Anybody else with the same apparent benefit?

Sincerely,
Steve JORDI
