Windows Installer runs when opening an access database

Everytime I try to load an Access 2003 database, Windows Installer launches
and attempts to configure dao. I get an "Error 1706 no valid source could be
found for product DAO the windows installer cannot continue", and the
installer backs out and tries again, with the same results. Then the database
will load and function.

Every time I personally have seen this behavior, is because Office was
installed by a different user account. For example:

User "IT Staff Guy" logs onto a computer and sets up or does an install, and
then gives it to user "Bob Smith"

Then "Bob Smith" logs on to the computer and Office is all hosed. You will
need to borrow the correct Office install CD from your IT people and let the
installer do its thing to restore the proper settings.

Thanks for your fast response, Mike......
I'm the only user of this machine (I'm at home), and there is just the one
Office install CD. I have un-installed and re-installed it a couple of times,
and that does not resolve the problem. It only occures in Access 2003.
