Word 2007 / Envelope Printing Problems with HP 2605dn

I'm having major problems printing envelopes after upgrading from Word 2003
to 2007. Printing envelopes works for Word 2003, but not with 2007. If I
create a blank page and then "add" an envelope page, and then "print," the
printer prints a blank page, but an error message soon appears in the printer
display that says there's an internal error; the then printer resets. If in
the "print" dialog window I select to print only page "0" (I preseme this
means envelope only, as in Word 2003), I get a request to load an envelope,
but the printer then hangs with a blinking green light and nothing gets
printed (I've waited for over an hour). I do believe this is a major bug in
Word 2007 because envelop printing worked with Word 2003.

Can you Microsoft folks get a patch in ASAP? I don't believe this is a
driver bug, since it works with the prior release of Word.

THANKS!

Larry: I have a similar problem. My letter prints fine. I can print an
envelope from my Win XP program but not Vista. I get a blank enevolpe or
paper on my HP. NancyJ

Not an expert, but I would be inclined to suspect that the HP driver has to
be updated to work with Vista.

It is a printer driver problem and unfortunately, HP has stated that they
are not updating drivers for 'older' printers. Check on the HP site to see
if yours has been updated.
