WORD 2007 File save Corruption

I saved my WORD Doc and word stopped responding. When I now open the
doccument it looks like this.. see below Help! Panicked student's research
paper...

I have 3 tff fonts I used with previous versions of Word. How do I add them.
I cannot find a FONT file.

Looks like it was saved directly to removable media which has corrupted it.
Always save to your local HDD and COPY the document to the REM media.

The bad news is that unless you have a backup, that looks totally nuked.

If you have not already fixed this...try opening word. Selecting file, Open
and in the window, browse to that file.. then on the open button select open
and repair. Good luck

I think I may have a similiar problem. We have Word 2007 running on two
computers, Word 2003 on a third. The OS is XP, SP2 on all three machines.
At first the Word 2007 Compatibility Mode seemed to work well in saving Word
2003 (.doc) files. Lately, both Word 2007's have been corrupting Word 2003
files when we save them. [We only discover this when we subsequently go to
reopen]. This happens whether we are saving from one of the Word 2007
equipped machines via a wireless network to the hard drive of the Word 2003
equipped machine, and on each of the Word 2007 equipped machines via a USB
drive, regardless of which machine originally created the Word 2003 file.
Why did this not happen in Word 2003? We have been using the same
arrangement to save files with no prior problems.
