Word Crashing regularly

Word is continually crashing. I am running Vista and Office 2007
Professional. I got a message from Word telling me it was crashing abnormally
frequently and they didn't have a solution but I should turn on something in
Word Options. I can get to Word Options but there are no active choices when
I get to that area. The choices are all there but can't be accessed. I tried
to repair Office from my Original Disks without much success. The program
hasn't crashed at this point but the menu is still not available.
