Word keeps changing my document folders to music folders

Vista keeps changing the properties of my Word document folders to music
folders. So instead of being able to look for documents by "name, date
modified, type, size, tags", it lists them by "name, artists, album, #,
genre, rating". This makes finding the most recent documents virtually
impossible. While Word will sometimes, but not always, allow me to change the
folders back to document folders, Word then later changes them back to music
folders. This is driving me crazy. Does anyone have a suggested solution. My
computer has done this since I got it but my old computer with XP never did
this and the documents are the same. Thanks for any help.

A brilliant place for this query would be in the appropriate Windows Vista
newsgroup. Word has absolutely no bearing on how Vista is displaying the
folders.

But for a hint: Vista will display folders in the style that has been set
for the partition or drive holding the folder. So open Windows Explorer and
navigate to the folder. Set up the folder to show the columns details and
width as you want them to appear. Then select Tools, Folder Options, View
tab and click on the Apply to Folders button.
